Pop Smoke:
Bashar Barakah Jackson (July 20, 1999 – February 19, 2020), known professionally as Pop Smoke, was an American rapper and songwriter. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and rose to fame with his breakout hit "Welcome to the Party" in 2019. He was associated with the drill rap genre and was known for his distinctive Brooklyn accent and charismatic delivery. Pop Smoke's music was influenced by UK drill, trap, and grime and was characterized by aggressive lyrics and hard-hitting beats. He released his first mixtape, "Meet the Woo," in July 2019 and followed it with "Meet the Woo 2" in February 2020. He was working on his debut studio album, "Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon," at the time of his death. Pop Smoke was widely regarded as one of the most promising up-and-coming rappers and was noted for his dynamic energy, raw talent, and unique style. He was killed in a home invasion robbery in Los Angeles on February 19, 2020. He was 20 years old.
